Title: The Weight of a Soul Pages: 320 Author: Elizabeth Tammi Rating: 4 stars.
This was a Review Request from the author herself (I feel honoured.) If any authors would like to request a review then please look at my
and contact my email for further questions.
At first I was skeptical...I don't usually dive in first into new authors unless doing some research but when I received Elizabeth's email about reading and reviewing her book, it was my first one so I went "Yeah sure! Thank you for this opportunity" And off I went to go read her book. I was currently reading another one so I said to myself, right read this one first then read the request book. So that's what I did, I started this book sometime last week and took a few days to complete. When you read a couple of chapters its like "Oh her sister died. Now what?" Then... The Gods get introduced into it and I'm like "Holy sh*t this is a new world!!!!" I just wanted to keep on reading but I looked in between the lines of the story. Lena never got over her sister's death because it was so sudden... Now if people have read one of my previous blog posts
I started to get some sort of emotional feeling towards Lena. I would've done anything to get the people back I've lost so sudden. Even just for a few more years.
There were parts of the book where I felt like "Ehhhh" I wish there was more Lena and Amal, I wasn't a fan of Amal and Fressa, how Lena was like "She was meant to marry Amal not me." Amal still confessed his feelings to Lena, even they were platonic feelings or romantic. JUST LOVE EACH OTHER.
Now here is where I explain why I gave this book 4 stars. I liked the story, it was different for me to read I'm not usually a fan of Vikings or Gods. But it really gripped me... Until the end of the book. I like happy endings but it wasn't the ending I expected. I wanted Lena and Amal live happily ever after, moving on with there lives and still remembering Fressa's spirit like she was still around them. I finished reading this book on my break at work and I had my head in my hands just like "Whhhhyyyyy?!" Luckily I was on my own so no one could come in thinking I was crazy.
Overall, it was a good book. I enjoyed it. I think I expressed every reaction I had whilst reading it. Now more information about the book. This book isn't out yet, BUT it is out on December 3rd 2019 but you can pre order it from
! You can also get it from
also
also DISCLAIMER. I'm not being paid to write any of this. I got asked to read and review an authors book, I told her I would give her an honest review to the best of my ability which is what I'm doing. Even if I got paid to review a book, I would still give it a honest review. Now I must rambling but I hope you enjoyed today's blog post!!
